Breaking Down The Barriers To Affordable Homeownership

At Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, we believe everyone deserves a decent place to live. We help families become first-time homebuyers and make critical home repair affordable for existing homeowners. Since our founding in 1984, Milwaukee Habitat has helped nearly 1500 local families build or repair a place to call home.

The Power of Home

One in three Milwaukee renters spend half or more of their income on housing. This is unacceptable. Let's help families invest in and preserve homeownership.

Volunteer With Us

You donโ€™t need to swing a hammer to build affordable homes. In addition to our construction volunteer opportunities, you can make a difference by cashiering at our ReStores, salvaging with our Deconstruction team, serving on a committee, and more!

Affordable Home Ownership & Repairs

Do you want to own your own brand new home? Are you a homeowner in need of critical repairs? We make homeownership and repairs affordable for qualifying families.

Congratulations to our Deconstruction team on their 1000th deconstruction project! This team, started by volunteers, saved hundreds of thousands of pounds of product from an early fate in a landfill and helped raise money to bring affordable homeownership to Milwaukee families. Way to go, volunteers! Thank you! Habitat, how blessed you are that Ken and Cindy Gear started this business so many years ago and brought in millions of dollars in the process! <3 I'm so glad to see it continue.
