Above all, we are looking for volunteers who have a positive attitude and a willingness to serve their community!
Volunteer opportunities at the ReStore include:
- Donation Center Assistant: help receive and process a wide variety of items from donors
- Store Decorator: use ever-changing inventory to redecorate and stage items on the sales floor
- Cashier: engage shoppers and provide excellent customer service
- Office Assistant: support the ReStore staff behind the scenes
Volunteers must be 14 years old to volunteer at Habitat’s ReStores and 14 & 15 year olds must have a parent or guardian accompanying them during the volunteer shift. Volunteers over 16 years are able to attend volunteer events at the ReStore or on the construction site without supervision but are restricted to certain tasks. All minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Through the resale of donated items, the Milwaukee ReStore raises hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for Habitat while preventing millions of pounds of usable material from going to waste in local landfills.
