Leading up to Giving Tuesday (November 29th) we’re debuting a collection of heart-warming stories from long-time Milwaukee Habitat homeowners who’ve recently paid off their homes. To celebrate, families burned their mortgage documents – each proudly labeled “PIF” – Paid in Full.
“This house right here is for you son,” Teresa emphatically exclaims. “This, I will leave for my kids.” Her oldest son, a doctorate student, stands proud, filming his mother as she tears up and throws her mortgage into the fire.
