Mayor Cavalier Johnson Joins Milwaukee Habitat to Raise Walls of New Home

On Wednesday, September 9th, Mayor Cavalier Johnson and members of his team joined Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity on site to raise walls on a brand-new home.

“This is the year of housing in the city of Milwaukee,” Mayor Johnson said. “So we’ve been doing a lot of stuff around housing including having not just myself, but members of my administration out helping our partners Habitat for Humanity construct some houses.”

The City of Milwaukee has been a committed partner to Milwaukee Habitat by providing city-owned land, financial resources, and technical assistance to support Milwaukee Habitat’s home building and home repair services.

“With the work we are doing here today, another family is going to have an affordable place to call home in the city and that’s a great thing,” Mayor Johnson said.
