Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. On 5/4/16, at the Southshore Pavilion in Bayview, we celebrated some of the all-stars of our organization who have gone above and beyond to further our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Thanks to all who’ve volunteered to help families in need of decent, affordable housing!

GRACE MORGAN VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR: Joe Hoepfl
Joe has been volunteering for more than two decades and while working on the electrical team has helped wire well over 100 new construction properties! His dedication to Habitat’s mission and selfless leadership truly exemplifies Grace Morgan’s ideal of putting “belief into action.” Thanks Joe!
RESTORE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR: Alana Andrysczyk
Alana has been volunteering as a cashier for ReStore East almost since they opened. Volunteering weekly, she goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and is as dedicated as they come! Thanks Alana for going above and beyond to further our mission!
NUTS AND BOLTS AWARD: Tom Woerhle
Tom has been volunteering for over six years beginning on the build site to now working with our development department. His work has been integral in helping us improve donor communications. Thanks Tom!!!
GOLDEN HAMMER AWARD: Dan Karrels
Dan began volunteering in the spring of 1994 after a long career as a math teacher. Dan continues to teach our AmeriCorps members and new and unskilled volunteers, helping to train and develop them into the next generation of leaders. His insight, knowledge, and leadership are staples to our organization. Thanks for your 22 years of service!!!
HABITAT HERO: Rosa Dodd
Rosa has been a homeowner with Milwaukee Habitat since 2008 and brought with her a fire to bring change to the neighborhood. She’s been a great mentor in the newly established homeowner network and continues to support our focus that everone matters. Thanks Rosa for embodying our mission!
