Make A Difference

By cashiering, assisting customers, and more you can make a real difference in the lives of local families struggling with the soaring cost of housing in our city. Watch how your time and talents can change the lives of families like Latasha's.

Flexible volunteer positions are available every Tuesday through Saturday in a variety of roles to help keep the ReStores running smoothly. We're particularly in search of volunteers who can serve a 3-4 hour shift each week. Opportunities include cashiering, decorating, picking up donations and processing donations. We can find the perfect position that matches your interests and skills.

Meet Teri

Like many others, Teri Hagemann’s life was upended by COVID-19. In June of 2020 she decided to start volunteering with Milwaukee Habitat and found herself at the ReStore in Walker’s Point. She’s become an essential part of the team since, taking on two cashiering shifts each week. According to Teri, “I volunteer not only to keep myself busy and active, but to improve the lives of others in the community.”

Meet Margie

Margie Hood joined ReStore’s Deconstruction Services team in 2018 and has been an active member since. When COVID-19 impacted Deconstruction operations, Margie took her time and talent into the office. While continuing to work as a product processor on Deconstruction sites, Margie has also taken the lead on a variety of process improvement projects at ReStore Wauwatosa. Most critically, Margie has been overhauling our point-of-sale system to help us operate more efficiently and effectively.

With more than 30,000 square feet of sales space ReStore Wauwatosa is Wisconsin's largest ReStore. This location was established in 2010 and, with it's broad selection of donated furniture, appliances and home improvement supplies, is our most popular store.

Franklin

6939 S Riverwood Blvd, Franklin

Opened in 2021, ReStore Franklin is the newest addition to Milwaukee's ReStores. After outgrowing our previous location in Walker's Point, we moved into this newer, larger location in the heart of the South 27th Street retail district. Surrounded by Goodwill and Lowe's, this former Gander Mountain has been transformed into our quintessential resale store and donation center.

Greenfield

Tues-Fri: 10am-6pm
Sat: 10am-4pm

Opened in 2017, our Greenfield ReStore may be the smallest of our fleet, but it quickly became one of our most popular donation centers. With a mom and pop vibe, ReStore Greenfield has an everchanging inventory thanks to the frequent donations dropped off each day by generous community members.
