Robin
Times were tough for Robin and her three daughters when she came to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. Their family had recently moved in with Robin’s 80 year-old grandmother. The apartment, located in one Milwaukee’s low-income housing developments, suddenly became a lot more crowded as they tried to fit five people into her two small bedrooms. To make matters worse, the building’s landlord neglected to fix critical issues including a leaking roof which caused water to stream in every time it rained.

Both Robin and her oldest daughter have asthma, which she said got worse when they moved into her grandma’s apartment. Luckily, thanks to supporters like you, Robin and her daughters now have a safe roof over their heads with room for everyone.

There’s enough to worry about these days without having to fear that your own home is going to make you sick. With your help, Robin built a brand new three bedroom home for her family at a price she could afford. 

Robin says the goal was simple: for her daughters to be healthy and happy. She wants this home to inspire hope in her three daughters that they too can realize their dreams and know the power of home. This is the power of our community coming together.
