On Tuesday, November 3rd, the Milwaukee Admirals teamed up with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity to help salvage usable materials from a home being demolished. Habitat ReStore’s Deconstruction Services salvages usable materials from homes and commercial buildings that are being demolished, remodeled or renovated, then those materials are resold at area ReStores. ReStores are open to the public and all proceeds go to build affordable homes for families in need.
Half of the team volunteered on the Deconstruction site, helping remove cabinets, a garage door, a water heater, and more. The other half received the materials at the Wauwatosa ReStore and helped stock the items. Even Admirals mascot, Roscoe, was there! Thanks to the Admirals for helping to build homes, communities and hope in Milwaukee!
