This may affect your eligibility

Our program is primarily for first-time home buyers. Exceptions can be made for individuals who may have owned a home more than 3 years ago.
Are you applying for a New Construction Home or Affordable Mortgage Program?(Required)
Habitat's New Construction Homes are built brand new in specific neighborhoods. Habitat's Affordable Mortgage Program allows you to pre-qualify for a home loan and shop on the open market.
Are you willing to live in the Harambee neighborhood?(Required)
All of Habitat's New Construction homes are being built in Harambee.
I/we are willing to partner with the Habitat program, which requires that homeowner candidates complete sweat equity hours.(Required)
Sweat equity may include financial education and home maintenance courses, building yours and others' homes, and volunteering at our ReStores.

I’m sorry, but Milwaukee Habitat homeownership is currently focusing its New Construction in the Harambee neighborhood.

If you're interested in purchasing a home elsewhere, our Affordable Mortgage Program offers pre-qualification of an affordable home loan. Once approved, you can shop for home on the open market anywhere in Milwaukee County.

I’m sorry, but Milwaukee Habitat New Construction requires the applicant(s) to be willing to partner.

The Affordable Mortgage Program does not require sweat equity. For those concerned about physical limitations, we work with clients of all skill and ability levels.
