Help ReStore Franklin reach $1 million in donated items to celebrate their 1 year anniversary
This month, Habitat’s ReStore in Franklin will celebrate their 1 year anniversary. To mark the anniversary they’re trying to reach $1 million in donations by Saturday, April 23rd. Milwaukee ReStore sells donated household items to the public at their three stores/donation centers, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to build safe, affordable homes in our community. Through the donation and resale of these items, ReStore also diverts reusable household items and building materials from area landfills.
One year ago, ReStore Franklin opened its doors and since then, they have received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donated items. ReStore is a major fundraiser of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity and because of Franklin’s success, more Milwaukee families will be able to move into safe, affordable housing in our city. To celebrate this anniversary, ReStore Franklin hopes to reach $1 million in donated items, but they need help from the community to make it happen.
“ReStore Franklin’s success in this first year truly shows that this community has embraced us. We’re so grateful for every single one of the donors and shoppers who are helping fulfill our mission,” ReStore Director Dominic Jaehnke said. “It would be an amazing milestone to see our Franklin store reach $1 million in donated items in their first year.”
