In today’s feature video, Milwaukee Habitat Homeowners Rishonda and Tawyana speak about their experiences owning Habitat homes. Rishonda has owned her home since 2016 and Tawyana has owned her home since 2005. These are two strong, independent women who have worked hard to give their children every opportunity they can. Years ago when they built their Habitat homes, they weren’t looking for handouts. All they wanted was an opportunity. An opportunity for their kids to grow up in a stable environment. An opportunity to save for their futures. An opportunity to invest in an asset that – for so many Americans – is key to building generational wealth.
