Women Build brings women from across our community together to construct an entire Habitat home from the ground up. Every wall raised, every nail driven, every coat of paint is completed by women who believe in affordable homeownership.

How it Works
Build Season
June through February
Construction begins in early summer, with finishing projects wrapping up in winter. Depending on when your team builds, you will be assigned tasks that match the stage of the home.
Your Commitment
Each team of five participates in one build day lasting about seven hours and is either sponsored by a corporation or has individually raised $1,500 through peer-to-peer efforts.
Choose Your Date
Build dates will be released for the June through February season and take place on Wednesdays - Saturdays. There are gaps in the build season while more specific tasks are completed, such as plumbing. Teams select their preferred date and prepare for a hands-on day of impact.
No Experience Needed
Tasks vary throughout the season from raising the first walls to hanging drywall to final touch ups. All tools, materials, and on site guidance are provided. Whether you are framing, installing cabinets, painting, or completing exterior work, our construction team ensures you feel confident and prepared.

Women Build is more than a volunteer day. It is a powerful demonstration of what happens when women invest in their community and in one another.
Together the teams raise $75,000, which provides the materials for one Habitat home. Each team commits to raising $1,500 in support of the home.

Fundraising ensures the materials, tools, and construction costs are covered so that the Habitat family can purchase their home with an affordable mortgage.
