MLK Inspires Volunteers to Give Back

“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
– Martin Luther King Jr.

This Martin Luther King Day (1/21/19), volunteers from across Milwaukee celebrated the teachings of the civil rights leader by serving our community. The groups gave their time to help build eight safe, affordable Habitat homes, many in Milwaukee’s Midtown neighborhood. Working alongside future homeowners, the build signified the unity of one community coming together to make our city stronger.
