Jim Stanke began volunteering with Milwaukee Habitat in January 2007 after retiring. He had always admired Habitat and was excited to be a part of the great work being done.
Since then, Jim has become one of our amazing house leaders. If you see him on a work site, chances are that you will find him smiling, helping out other volunteers, and thinking through the toughest challenges!
Jim has also been a huge help using his engineering skills to enhance house plans, measuring for the materials for our rehab house, and even spending the cold winters measuring, cutting and marking out all of the walls that will be build the following year.
If you are interested in becoming a fantastic Habitat volunteer like Jim, please see our Volunteer page and find out how you can get involved!
